Q: Do I have to remove the trial version of Login King before getting the paid-for version?

Ans: No, all you need to do is to enter the registration information we send to you in email. After you enter the registration information, the Login King software will be upgraded to a full-version for lifetime.


Q: How do I register the software after I purchase it?

Ans: We would send you the registration key information in email within 24 hours. To enter the registration key, you need to have the 30-day trial version already installed first. We have created a short movie clip. The clip shows you step-by-step how you would enter the registration information you received to get your copy of Login King properly registered. Q: Can I get a Login King software in a CD package?

Ans: At the moment, we are working with some packaging vendor to get the software shipped in a box with CD in it. It won't be ready until this summer though. The cost of the box version would actually be a little more expensive than the internet download version. It is about $9.00 more than the download version.


Q: Can I install Login King to my USB Flash drive?

Ans: Login King 2007 fully supports running on USB Flash Drives including U3 drives. Your 1-Click Logins will work anywhere you go with Login King on your USB Flash Drive.


Q: Do you support migration path from Gator to Login King?

Ans: For Gator user's migration, we have not yet received many requests for this feature request. If there is a good demand for this, we will put this as a priority for next release.


Q: Can I use via AOL service? (Browser Type questions)

Ans: Currently we support Internet Explorer and FireFox browsers. As long as you use either browser, we support it. We will support other browser type such as Netscape, Mozilla, etc in the coming releases.


Q: Are there any plans to support address form filler function?

Ans: Definitely, we have plans to implement it in the coming releases.


Q: Can I use Login King on more than 1 computer? Do I need multiple licenses? I regularly connect to the Internet from about 3 computers so I'd like to migrate my Login King password lists to all 3 machines. (multiple machine license question)

Ans: All you need is 1 license for the same user on all of your machines. You can install login king software on all of your own machines and register them as you register for your first machine.


To import your profile across different machines, you can go to Option Panel and click on Backup. Then select Backup button and back up your profiles to a file. You can then copy the file to your other machines and Restore them in the same Backup Tab. Then select Restore button to restore your profile.


Q: How can I manually enter an account?
Ans: Login King automatically detects web login page for you and creates an account profile for the visited website. To add an account profile, go to a new web site that requires user authentication, then type in your username and password, and click login button as you normally do. Login King will then pop up a dialog box prompting you if you'd like to save the profile.

Q: Can I name an account differently from its URL?

Ans: To edit the account name other than using the default URL name, please go to the Options in the Taskbar Login King icon. The Taskbar icon looks like this.

Click on Passwords after you are in the Options Panel. You can select an account profile and change the name as you like.


Q: How do I retrieve my pin number?

Ans: If you have forgotten your pin number, there is no backdoor in Login King to recover a lost PIN. The only option would be to start over.

Q: How do I hide the Login King Toolbar in IE?

Ans: In IE browser, click on the Login King?button in the Login King Toolbar and select Hide Toolbar Permanently?


Q: How do I display the Login King Toolbar in IE if I had selected Hide Toolbar Permanently previously?

Ans: Follow these steps:

1) Open the option window from the Login King Taskbar icon

2) Click on the Preferences tab

3) Make sure the bottom checkbox is unchecked

Q: How do I turn on Login King?

Ans: There are 2 ways to turn on Login King.

1) click on the Login King shortcut icon in your desktop

2) go to Windows Start button-->Programs-->Login King Password Manager XP, select Login King icon.


Q: How do I retrieve my passwords?

Ans: The only way to retrieve the password is through Login King software. We suggest that you backup your Login King password profiles by going to the Options Menu -> Backup.

To go to Option menu:

1) Go to Login King Taskbar icon

2) Click on Options (It will bring up the Options Control panel)

3) Click on Backup


Q: Can Login King be configured for more than one user?

Ans: Yes, definitely, Login King can support multiple user accounts for a website. To create multiple account for a website that already has an account profile defined, you can click on the Cancel button when Login King pops up to ask you if you would like to use the account profile to login. You can then just enter your login information for the new user, hit your login button like you normally do. After you hit the button, Login King would pop up a box asking you if you would like to save the profile. Click Yes to save. Next time you visit the same site, it will show you all of the account profiles to choose for this website.


Q: When removing the software, will it remove my profiles?

Ans: When you remove the software, it will actually ask you if you'd like to save your profile. If you answer yes, it'll not delete the profile and will import it automatically next time you install Login King again. If you answer no, it will remove all of your saved profiles.


Q: How do I set Internet Explorer as the default web browser?

Ans: To make Internet Explorer the default web browser, go to Internet Explorer -> Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Programs, enable 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default web browser'.


Q: How do I install Login King extension for Firefox Browser?

Ans:

Login King 2007 already comes bundled with Firefox Extension which supports Firefox 1.5 and above (including 2.0.0.2). Just install Login King and Firefox extension will automatically be installed. If you install Firefox after installing Login King, just install Login King again and the Firefox extension will be installed to your Firefox. Your existing data will be kept intact when you re-install Login King.


Alternatively, Login King is bundled with Firefox Portable. You can launch it from the Login King systray icon. Just click on it and choose Launch Portable Firefox from the popup menu. NOTE: This is useful when you are running Login King from USB drive. This way you can keep all your bookmarks on Portable Firefox and access them anywhere.


Q: Which web browser will 1-Click Login from systray icon popup menu launch?

Ans: If you are running from Desktop installation, the default browser will open. Currently, Login King only supports IE and Firefox. If your default browser is IE, you do not need to install any additional software to use Login King. If you are using Firefox as your default web browser, you need to install the Firefox extension as described in the Q&A above.


If you are running Login King from USB Flash drive, Portable Firefox will be launched. It already has Login King extension integrated so you do not have to install any additional software.


NOTE: You may still run Portable Firefox from the Desktop installation by choosing Launch Portable Firefox from the systray icon popup menu.

Q: How do I upgrade the software when there is a new release?

Ans: You can run LiveUpdate by right clicking the Login King Taskbar icon and select LiveUpdate?or you can download the upgrade directly from the Login King website http://loginking.com/lk2007.exe

Note: we suggest users backing up their user profile first before running upgrade.

Q: I get the 429: ActiveX component can't create object error
